Das Kraftbuch macht Krach...

Nu isses amtlich. Mein dienstlich geliefertes Powerbook 15" (1,67GHz/SD) fiept. Und zwar in variabler Tonhöhe. Unter MacOSX reproduzierbar mit SystemLoad und /usr/X11R6/bin/glxgears, unter Linux habe ich bis jetzt nur glxgears ausprobiert.

Das Problem taucht nicht auf, wenn in der "Energie sparen" Einstellungen die Prozessorleistung auf Automatisch oder Reduziert gestellt ist und zusätzlich das Display gedimmt wird. Wenn der Bildschirm auf volle Beleuchtung ist und die CPU auf Vollgas, quietscht es. Die Tonhöhe läßt sich dann wunderbar mit Systemload variieren oder indem man das glxgears Fenster größer oder kleiner schiebt.

p>Bisheriges Vorgehen: AppleCare anrufen ("Uns ist kein Problem bekannt" - Jaja, liest man ja auf discussions.apple.com nix von) und dann den Freundlichen aufsuchen. Ergebnis: das Powerbook ist ein Garantiefall. Bin mal gespannt, wie sie mir die Frage beantworten, womit ich denn arbeiten soll, wenn die Büxe beim Freundlichen steht.
